Wichita Bar & Grill
About This Spot
Walking into Wichita Bar & Grill, you’re greeted by the steady hum of a classic neighborhood spot where familiarity feels like a warm embrace. It’s the kind of place where mornings and evenings blend seamlessly—early risers settle in for hearty breakfasts that promise comfort and fuel, while later in the day, the space gently shifts to a lively local bar filled with the easygoing chatter of friends catching a game or testing their luck on the lottery machines.
The atmosphere moves at a comfortable pace, unhurried yet inviting, with a subtle buzz that hints at ongoing connections—a familiar waitress call, the clink of glasses, the murmur of the karaoke crowd warming up. This is a spot where families feel at home, longtime regulars nod hello, and newcomers find a seat without hesitation. TVs tuned to sports offer background energy without overwhelming the space, providing a shared conversation starter rather than a distraction.
Food here is a heartfelt extension of the place’s spirit—generous portions with just the right balance between classic and creative. Whether it’s the breakfast skillet layered with eggs and savory sides or a burger that surprises with unexpected yet harmonious flavors, each dish invites you to savor something straightforward, thoughtfully prepared, and satisfying. The range—stretching from familiar comfort foods to evening specials accented by hearty steaks—supports a day spent lingering over good company and a well-crafted meal.
The bar side offers a quiet refuge too, where cocktails are poured with care and the drink list complements the menu’s approachable character. Morning mimosas or a carefully built Bloody Mary blend seamlessly into the welcoming rhythm of Wichita’s crowd.
Wichita Bar & Grill captures the essence of a vital community hub—unpretentious, warm, and alive with the rhythms of everyday moments. It’s a place where food and friendship intersect naturally, making it a touchstone for locals and a welcoming discovery for those passing through Oregon City’s casual dining scene.

Had the Maui Waui Burger definitely a flavor bomb. The pineapple and teriyaki gave it a tropical twist without overpowering the beef. Everything was fresh, and the burger was cooked just right. Great balance of sweet and savory. Would absolutely order it again.

Great food, good prices. I usually get either the bacon wrapped shrimp or a wichita steak, both with mashed potatoes/gravy and a large salad. The place is a bit dated but has good ambience. Great service

10 Out of 10. Everything is good food service people atmosphere. And it's kid friendly and they have a bar side and they serve alcohol and great food and prices are pretty low considering the quality and quantity of the food and service.. the customer service as well as the customer's make for a great time.

One of my favorite places in Oregon City for weekend breakfast/ brunch and cocktails. It’s a classic diner combined with a casual neighborhood bar. TVs for sports if you’re into that. Always clean, friendly staff. They also have lotto machines for you gamers. I’d definitely recommend Wichita. My favorite dish is the “Mountain Stack” which has biscuits, hash browns, ham, eggs, cheese, and plenty of gravy!

The server Janet was really nice and the witchita trio was an amazing price for seafood.
